Update on myself

I have finally done it. I have finally moved onto the Mac permanently.

Just today I found out that Evernote has fast key options which makes it similar to Onenote on my PC. Which means that I have move all of my notetaking onto the Mac, and then copy and paste them into Onenote when I get home.

As for programming, because of the prevalence of the Mac computer in the computer industry, I can actually do all of my projects on my Mac without changing much of the code I have to write. For example, for our capstone we are doing Android. Android which was created by Google to counter the iOS, can be programmed on my PC as well as Mac. So in conclusion not only can I do C#, Java, and C++, I pretty much have all of the languages available to me on PC is available to me on the Mac.

Macbook Pro

It’s been sometime since I made a post, cough, try more than a year. So I think would put an update out there.

I personally believe it has been nearly 3 weeks since I bought my first Mac, a Macbook pro. I personally love it. I am still discovering new ways to use it. I am also doing things that I couldn’t do on my PC.

Of course there has been some downside. I have to spend nearly $1300 but I think in the long run this will be more than worth it. Another thing that I found it has been a downside is that I can’t do as much as I though I could. Sure I can now learn and program in iOS, a plus by the way, but I can’t fully move to the Mac if I can’t program C++ .

Other than that, I got both Pages and the Office suite, so my productivity tools are here. Not only that I found that using certain web apps such as SimpleNote and Google Docs is much better than when I used them on my PC.

Not only can I do more (or pretty much the same), I could also use my laptop longer than ever or do more for the same amount time as I could on my PC. Sure I might have to watch how much times I use my battery, because of the degrading effect.

Edit: Wow, I made a mistake. Looking back, I found out that the last time I posted on here was in May. So it hasn’t been a year, more like six months. Still that is a long time.

Wow has it been four months since I last posted here?! wow. I need to do this more often. I have been doing well, I have gotten my grades and pass all of my courses wonderfully. Got to find a job for the summer.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

So I just remember to check the the new Harry Potter trailer, and I say it is great that they are finally making the final film. Much to my surprise, they are going to split up into two films. I somewhat get the point, because every time, they made a Harry Potter film, they always miss out the most important things and the last book sure has a lot things to cover. Although I am appalled that they are going make two films to try to squeeze as much money as possible. Either they charge a one time fee, which will cover both films or give a special to half the cost of the film in the theater (although admittedly this will probably not happen).

June’s Post

So this is the 15 of June, probably this last post before my 20th. I wonder what is going to be like once I hit 20. Never through I would make it this far in life. Man as I look back at the last two decades, hell even this last decade I can believe the number of things I have done to get to where I am in life. I mean in the last decade I have gone from elementary school to junior high to high school, from there I made it to university and join one of the most specialized undergraduate programs in Ontario.

Not only on the academic front have I excelled, physically I have grown significantly. From being one of the shortest kids when I first turn 10 to being average and still growing hoping to reach at least 6 feet.
